Manage German Public Sector Business Processes

PeopleSoft Human Resources (HR) Manage German Public Sector supports these business processes:

  • Administer hiring and employee job maintenance.

    German Public Sector (GPS) records new employees in the system and enters key data such as personal information, GPS-specific data such as disability information, labor agreement, employee category, salary plan, job group or service class, job, grade and step, family allowance eligibility, and so on.

    GPS also supports the setup and tracking of retirees as persons of interest in the HCM system.

  • Manage child and family allowances.

    GPS captures and manages data of employee’s dependent and family. The information is used to process child and family allowances to which employees are entitled.

  • Manage posts.

    Using post plans, planners recommend the number of posts that are available for distribution in a given fiscal cycle. Upon approval, budget is distributed to individual agencies for staffing, and agencies are able to assign their workforce to available posts.

  • Generate reports.

    Two reports are delivered for GPS, one on employees’ workforce data and the other on employees’ child allowance information.
