Setting Up Fluid Application for Graduation By Program

Set up fluid application for graduation at the program level.

The Configuration by Program component lets you configure the application process differently for specific academic programs. You can use the copy feature so you can copy the configuration from one program to another.

The options provided in this component are identical to those provided on the Configuration by Institution component, with some differences.

Copy From

When you add a new program configuration, the copy feature becomes available. When you click Copy, Campus Solutions copies the data from the program or institution to the new configuration.

The current effective date (effective date is earlier or equal to the system date) is also copied, and the description of the copied program is prefixed with "Copy of."

General Options

When you create a new program configuration, Action Reason is derived as the value that exists for the program (ACAD_PROG_TBL.PROG_REASON). If that has no value, then the value for the career is derived (ACAD_CAREER.PROG_REASON). If a career value isn't available, then the value for the institution is derived (INSTITUTION_TBL.PROG_REASON). If none of these values exist, then a value isn't displayed.

Show Name

Use this check box to set the degree name differently at the program level. If you have a specific program or set of programs where this needs to be different than the institution, then you can make the change here.

Allow Attachments

Select this check box to allow students to upload an attachment on the Diploma/Degree Name page when applying for graduation. For example, students can upload an audio file of how to pronounce their name.
