Using Application Data Sets for Condition Monitor

The Condition Monitor process in PeopleSoft Receivables checks for customer's accounts or items that meet a condition—such as a change of status for a customer’s account—and creates an action based on templates and rules that you define. You define the details for the condition trigger on the Collection Rule, Assessment Rule, and Assessment Rule User pages. When the Condition Monitor creates an action based on the condition defined on the Assessment Rule User page, it will use the owner (either AR Specialist, Collector, Credit Analyst, or Sales Person) that is stored on the item instead of the default owner defined on the customer master. The action will not be generated again if it has been marked as complete by a user.

You can use the Application Data Set (ADS) definitions to migrate Condition Monitor tables—such as Action Codes, Action Templates, Collection Rules, Assessment Rules, and Condition Definition Users—between databases and ultimately to your production environments.

This table lists the delivered Application Data Set (ADS) definitions (delivered in Data Set Designer) to support the migration of PeopleSoft Condition Monitor data. Select a Condition Monitor data set on the Data Migration Workbench to move the records in tables from one database to another.

The data sets listed in the Delivered ADS Definitions column include the following records used by Condition Monitor, shown in the ADS Usage column.

You can find complete information about setting up and using ADS definitions for data migration in the documentation for PeopleTools: Lifecycle Management Guide. This documentation covers the following topics:

  • Using the Data Set Designer.

  • Copying and comparing projects.

  • Validating data sets.

  • Implementing data set security.

All relevant records are delivered in the Query Access Tree (QUERY_TREE_AR) within the PS/AR Access Group (AR_ACCESS_GROUP) on the Query Access Manager page (PeopleTools > Security > Query Security > Query Access Manager).

PeopleSoft delivers an ADS Administrator permission list (PeopleTools > Security > Permissions & Roles > Permission Lists > Data Migration). For Read and Write access, the PS/AR Access Group should be included on the Data Migration – Permission List Access Groups secondary page. On the Data Migration – Copy Compare Permissions secondary page, select Full Access to activate access permission, and select the Allow setting Copy Compare attributes on data set definitions check box.

See the product documentation for PeopleTools: Security Administration.
