Deleting a Table Variable
When a variable is no longer needed, it can either be left in RateManager or deleted. When you delete a variable, it gets deleted from all versions of the program. Also, all revisions of that variable get deleted. If you are uncertain as to whether the variable will be used again, simply leave it in RateManager. This saves time if the variable is needed and does not slow down rating.
- Select the variable you want to delete. Right click it and select Delete.
- You will be asked to confirm the deletion of the variable. Click Ok to delete the variable. Click Cancel to return to the tab without effecting a change.
If you try to delete a variable that is still being used by an algorithm, a result group or another variable, you will receive an error. Variables that are locked or that are template generated cannot be deleted.
If you delete a linked variable, only the variable you have selected is deleted. The other variables that are linked to it are not removed.
