ITT Return: Placement

The ITT Return Placement entity depends on the Student entity.

The Create Extract process creates the extract records if you select the Include Student Entities check box on the Create Extract Data page. If you do not select Retain Data from Previous Run, existing extract records are deleted regardless of their status.

For each Student entity for this run of the return with a status of ACTIVE:

• Placement entities are created based on the ITT Placement records (SSR_HE_INST_PLC) defined for the most recent effective dated HESA Instance Data record where the effective date is not after the reporting period end date (i.e. not future).

• A single entity is created for each distinct combination of School URN and Placement Name. This handles cases where the same generic URN is defined with different Placement Name values, and cases where the same valid URN is defined with different Start Dates.

• For all field derivations:

  • If NULL ERROR has been derived, the Field Status is set to Error.

  • If a derived value is not blank, the Field Status is set to New.

  • If a derived value is blank, the Field Status is blank.

• If the Compare Extract with Submitted Data is not selected, the Entity Status is set to:

  • Error when there is at least one field that has Field Status of Error in the extract.

  • New for all other entities

• If no relevant Placements records are found, entities aren't created.
