Creating a WebLogic Domain for Unifier on Windows

Create a WebLogic domain for Unifier as follows:

  1. Run the WebLogic Configuration Wizard.
  2. In the Welcome window, select Create a new WebLogic domain, and select Next.
  3. In the Select Domain Source window, select Next to accept the default selections.
  4. In the Specify Domain Name and Location:
    1. Enter a domain name for the new domain to be created.
    2. Enter the location of the new domain on the server.
    3. Select Next.
  5. In the Configure Administrator User Name and Password window:
    1. Enter the User Name and Password for the Administrator that will be created. This user name will be used to log into the WebLogic console.
    2. Select Next.
  6. In the Configure Server Start Mode and JDK window:
    1. In the left pane, select Production Mode.
    2. In the right pane, select the JDK you installed earlier.
    3. Select Next.
  7. In the Select Optional Configuration window, select the Administration Server option, and select Next.
  8. (Optional) In the Configure the Administration Server window:
    1. Select the SSL Enabled option and set the SSL listen port if you are enabling Secure Sockets Layer communication.

      Note Oracle recommends you always use SSL in a production environment for secure communications.

    2. Select Next.
  9. In the Configuration Summary window, select Create.

    If given the option, you can select Done now. Otherwise, continue to the next step.

  10. In the Creating Domain window, select Start Admin Server, and then select Done.
  11. When prompted, enter the Administrator User Name and Password that you entered above.
