Integration Users

The system supports the creation of integration users in User Administration for different permissions towards SOAP and REST services.

Note: Oracle develops all new web services as RESTful web services and not SOAP web services. Oracle recommends that the new integrations use RESTful web services.

The username and password for these integration users can be used in SOAP services instead of the shortname (the Company identifier) and authcode (the Company authentication code) to run the requests.

Note: All the other web services, including SOAP and REST (but excluding V1 and V2), will still be accessible by the Company shortname and authcode and do not have any impact on existing end-users.
