Use it on:
- The upper form of a business process design to capture the count of attachments on the upper form of a record
- The detail form of a business process design to capture the count of attachments on the line item
- It cannot be placed in the Detail/Attribute Form of any manager
- It cannot be placed in the upper form of business process of type Document Type with folder
- This DE can be placed in any form of any business process other than the one mentioned above
- This DE can also be placed in the bidder detail form as well as in the bid comparison sheet
Use it for:
Capturing the total count of files in the respective form in which it is placed.
Behavior in the forms:
Always Read Only
Additional features:
- This is an optional field that may exist in the form
- For a given BP design, this field can be placed in a hidden block
- Cannot be marked as Editable/ Editable Required
- Cannot be marked for auto-population
- Can be source for RAP but not destination.
- Cannot be marked for 'Reset'.
- Can be an auto-population source for other data element.
- This DE cannot be part of any DDS .
- This DE can be part of a basic formula as a source.
- This DE can be part of an advanced formula as a source. This means that the value of this DE can be used in other fields.
- This DE cannot be a destination for a formula.
- Since this is of DD Integer Amount, this cannot be set as a display element in the data picker definition.
- This DE can be placed in the log layout of the design both for the Standard log and the Picker log .
- This DE can be used to define query conditions on data pickers or line item data pickers of their respective sources. Example: If the DE is placed in Action Items BP, a data picker that points to Action Items, can have this DE as a query parameter in the Data picker configuration.
- This DE should not be available to select as a display element for all Data Pickers, BP Pickers, Line item pickers and Line item data pickers.
- When added to an existing BP design which already has records with attachments, the DE value is not updated for existing records. The value is zero (0) for reports from any database or data views. However, when the existing records are opened in the user interface, the DE is calculated accordingly.
