How Do I Know If Unifier is Cloud-Based and Using ST or MT or If It is On-Premises

Unifier documentation covers both on-premises and cloud deployments, and in most cases is identical for both. However, some content (mostly installation and configuration) might be specific for on-premises while other content is specific for cloud. Additionally, the cloud version of Unifier is supported in single-tenant (ST) and multi-tenant (MT) configurations.

In an on-premises configuration, everything is installed, configured, and hosted locally by the customer.

In an ST configuration, a single instance of the software and supporting infrastructure serves a single customer. With single tenancy, the customer has an independent database and an independent instance of the software, and sharing software is not an option.

In an MT configuration, a single instance of the software and supporting infrastructure serves multiple customers. With multi tenancy, the customers share the software application, but the customer data is isolated and remains invisible to other tenants. If you are using an MT configuration, you have access to other Smart Construction Platform Applications, and the header of the Unifier user interface contains the Switch Applications icon. For more information, see Access Other Smart Construction Platform Applications.

Any content that applies to only one of these deployments is labeled accordingly. For example, you might see topics that include labels such as On-Premises Only, Cloud Only (which includes both ST and MT configurations), or MT Only.

If you are unclear whether you are using a cloud-based deployment of Unifier versus an on-premises deployment, check with your company's site administrator.
