Create or Update Tables

Create tables to organize and display data from a selected data source and a selected project/shell in visualizations. You can create these tables from the Content log of the application.

To create tables for visualizations:

  1. Sign in to Unifier with company administration credentials.
  2. Click the Company Workspace tab and switch to Admin mode.
  3. In the left Navigator, select Visualizations, and then select Content.
  4. In the Content log (right pane), click Create.
  5. In the Create page, specify the following information:
    1. From the Preview Project list, select an active project/shell and click Preview Data to preview the data you can use to create the table.
    2. From the Data Source list, select the data source to use for creating the content item.
    3. From the View Type list, select Table.
    4. In the Name field, enter a name for the table.
    5. (Optional) In the Description field, enter a short description about the table.
    6. From the Columns list, select a data element to create columns for the table.
    7. (Optional) Click Add Columns and select a data element to include additional columns in the table.
    8. From the Group By list, select a data element to organize the information based on a specific characteristic. For example, group RFIs based on the RFI reasons.
    9. Make changes as needed to refine the above selections.
    10. After making all changes, select any of the following actions:
      • Create Draft: Click to create the table in a Draft status and return to the Content log.
      • Update Draft: Click if you are editing an existing table in Draft status.
      • Cancel: Click to delete the table. You will lose all unsaved changes made to the table.
      • Publish: Click to make the table available to your users for visualizations and return to the Content log.
