Using Cloud Connect with Client-side Cache Disabled

Administering P6 Professional for Cloud > P6 Professional Cloud Connect

P6 Professional performance is constrained by network speed and latency. Connecting to the P6 EPPM database using Cloud Connect significantly improves performance above that achievable using direct database communication. When using Cloud Connect with the client-side cache disabled, all P6 Professional database communication is routed through the Cloud Connect application, compressing data over the HTTP protocol and batching multiple SQL requests and dataset responses.

To use Cloud Connect with client-side cache disabled, clear the Enable Client-side Cache option when setting up the P6 Professional Cloud Connect database connection in the database configuration tool.
