Grouping Activities

Group the activities in your view to quickly identify activities sharing a common characteristic. You can group by project, WBS, the critical and longest path columns, activity codes, project codes, activity UDFs, and project UDFs. You can group by up to five fields at the same time, or none.

To group a view:

  1. Click  Customize View.
  2. On the Customize View page:
    1. In the Group By area:
      • In the Group By list, select the field by which you want to group the view.
      • In the Sort Order list, select how you want the view to be sorted.
      • Click  Row Actions next to the Group By list to add, delete, or rearrange grouping levels.
    2. In the Band Options area:
      • Select Show field title to include the name of the field in each grouping band.
  3. Click Apply.
