Creating a JMS Connection Factory

Create a connection factory to enable connections between your JMS elements.

To create a JMS connection factory:

  1. Launch the WebLogic Remote Console.
  2. In the NavStrip, click Edit Tree.
  3. In the Navigation Tree, expand Services, then expand JMS Modules.
  4. Expand the module you created, and select Connection Factories.
  5. In the Content Pane, click New.
  6. In the Name field, type a meaningful name for your new connection factory, then click Create.
  7. On the General Tab:
    1. In the JNDI Name field, type a meaningful name for the Java Naming and Directory Interface.

      Note Make note of the JNDI name. You will need to enter this name in the JMS Connection Factory field of P6 Application Settings Eventing page. If you are using a remote server, you will need to enter this name in the Remote JNDI Name field on the Connection Factories tab in the Creating a Foreign JMS Server topic.

    2. Click the Default Targeting Enabled toggle on.
    3. Click Save.
  8. Click Click to view shopping cart actions, and select Commit Changes.
