Testing Event Notification

Test event notification to ensure event messages are sent when an event occurs.

To test event notification:

  1. If it is not already installed, install P6. See the P6 EPPM Installation and Configuration Guide.

Note If you are using more than one server, install P6 on the local server.

  2. Configure WebLogic for eventing:
  3. Open P6 and create a project.
  4. In P6:
    1. Add one or more activities to the project.
    2. Summarize the project to test if an event is generated.
  5. Launch the WebLogic Remote Console.
  6. In the NavStrip, click Monitoring Tree.
  7. In the Navigation Tree, expand Services, expand Messaging, expand JMS Runtime, expand JMS Servers, expand your server, expand Destinations, then click the name of your messaging queue.
  8. In the Content Pane, click the server to which the queue is targeted.
  9. In the Content Pane, click the Messages tab.
  10. In the Content Pane, select the message created by step 4 and click View.

Note: To be able to view messages on Weblogic 14.1.2, you must use WebLogic Remote Console version 2.4.16 or later and have applied the July 2025 PSU.
