Adding New Machines in WebLogic
To add new machines in WebLogic:
- Launch the WebLogic Remote Console.
- In the NavStrip, click Edit Tree.
- In the Navigation Tree, expand Environment and select Machines.
- In the Content Pane:
- Click New.
- In the Name field, enter a meaningful name for the machine.
- If the machine is running Unix, on the Type list, select Unix Machine (otherwise, leave the Type list set to Machine).
- Click Create.
- On the Node Manager tab:
- On the Type list, select the protocol with which the node manager on the machine communicates with its servers.
You can use SSL, Plain, RSH, or SSH.
- In the Listen Address field, enter the hostname or IP address of the remote server.
- In the Listen Port field, enter the port number for the remote server on which the node manager will run.
- Click Save.
- On the Type list, select the protocol with which the node manager on the machine communicates with its servers.
- Click Click to view shopping cart actions, and select Commit Changes.
