Troubleshooting Tips

The following section covers various workarounds on Documaker suite of products.

HOT KEYS

In Oracle Documaker Interactive, a user may have to press Tab or Shift+Tab multiple times to navigate from the Content menu to other menus.

Tip:

Access key (CTRL+SHIFT+M) can be used for easy access to the Context Menu.

PDF PREVIEW

When a user previews the generated PDF output in Oracle Documaker Interactive; Alternative text is not displayed for Save, Print, Zoom Out, Zoom In, Minimize and Close icons.

Note: This is a constraint of Adobe.

DESCRIPTIVE TEXT

Idle and Busy options are not able to be described elaborately in Oracle Documaker Interactive application. For instance, a simple alt text “idle” for Idle button might not be helpful for the screen readers to identify the context. Instead, an extended description such as ‘application is idle’ provides a better idea.

Note: This constraint is due to an Application Development Framework (ADF) issue. Bug No. 21074515 has been created to capture the above mentioned issue.

INPUT COMBO BOX

Down arrow key feature is not supported in the “search and select” dropdown list while creating document and selecting value from the drop-down in Oracle Documaker Interactive. User needs to press Shift + Down Arrow key to access the list of options available once the value is selected in the search input box.

TAB CHARACTERS

Avoid the use of tab characters in the input data when generating PDF output. Tabs are not printable and may cause issues.
