Index Column

An index column creates a new index column.

The following table describes properties that Siebel CRM uses with an index column.

Property Description

Column Name (R)

Specifies the name of the column in the index.

Expression Flag (O)

Specifies whether the index column contains an expression in the Expression property. These two properties support function-based indexes, as of Siebel CRM 22.8. For more information, see Configuring Siebel Business Applications.

Expression (O)

Specifies an expression for a function-based index.

Sequence (R)

Specifies the position of the index column in the index.

Sort Order (O)

Specifies how Siebel CRM sorts the values in the index column. Siebel CRM sets the Sort Order property to Asc as the default value. If the index column is a Date type, then it sets the Sort Order property to Desc.
