This topic describes how to find and download a Siebel CRM maintenance release (MR), also known as a patch, fix pack, patchset or quick fix.

There are multiple ways to download a Siebel maintenance release on My Oracle Support.

MOS global search

You can locate the download link for a patch release, or fix pack, from the My Oracle Support general search box by selecting Patches as source. Use a QF number, FP number, patchset number, or patch ID in the search box. For example, the search string could be QF05EC, 8.1.1.11.3, 15.7.

Note: If you don't use Patches as source, all documents referencing the quick patch set will be returned in the search result.

Patches and Updates tab on My Oracle Support

There are multiple ways you can locate a Siebel CRM patch on My Oracle Support.

Here's how you can do it:

  1. Using the Recommended Patch Advisor search tab

    This functionality has been enabled for the My Oracle Support, Patches & Updates tab for Siebel and it works from IP2013.

    Select these options on the Recommended Patch Advisor search tab:

    • Product - Siebel Industry Application
    • Release - The fix pack you are currently on
    • Platform (optional) - The one that you currently use. For example: Microsoft Windows.

    You should get the latest patchset as recommended.

  2. Using the Product or Family (Advanced) search tab

    Use this option if you want to find all fix packs available for a certain version.

    Enter these values for the options on the resulting page:

    • Product is - Siebel CRM
    • Release is - Choose and set your current Siebel CRM version; for example, Siebel Industry Applications 8.1.1.0.0
    • Filter dropdown menu - Select your platform (Platform should be set as a default selection for this field, on the left hand side of the menu).
    • In the subsequent dropdown menus, select Description and contains, and enter the patch name. For example, 8.1.1.11

    The search results include all the fix packs and quick fixes for the version you selected.

    If you want to find a specific quick fix, follow the same steps as above, and in the last step, instead of patch name, enter the quick fix name. For example, QF0102008.

    Note:
    1. If you need a password to download a specific quick fix, please contact Oracle Technical Support. For more information, see MOS article 975515.1.
    2. If you are using My Oracle Support's PowerView option ( you'll see PowerView is ON at the top of your My Oracle Support screen), you may not get the desired results. If this happens, you need to temporarily turn off the PowerView option.
  3. Using the simple patch search

    On the Patches and Updates tab, enter the patch ID or number that you know. If you don't know the patch ID or number, find the fix by querying the <version> <quick fix> string, such as, for QF0101003 for Siebel CRM version 8.1.1.9, you can query for 8.1.1.9 QF0101003 in the 'Patch ID or Number' field and you'll be taken to the same download location as if you entered 16386124, for example, the corresponding patch number.

    You can find Siebel CRM fix packs, or maintenance releases, by directly querying the maintenance release (MR), such as, the download location for the Siebel CRM version 8.1.1.9 MR can be found by querying the 'Patch ID or Number' field for just 8.1.1.9.

    The search result shows the specified fix patch download locations for all platforms this is available for.

  4. Using a bug number

    You can also search by Bug number for patches where a bug has been resolved (this works only for patchsets).

Oracle Software Delivery Cloud

Here's how you can search for a patch using the software delivery cloud:

  1. Log on to edelivery.oracle.com
  2. Select a product, for example, Siebel CRM Base and your platform.
  3. By default, the most current release is selected for you. If there are more than one available release, you can select the release you prefer.
  4. After you select your release, click Continue.
  5. To view specific downloads associated with each release, select the check boxes against the release download.
