Extending Column Data to Promote Prospects to Contacts

When promoting prospects to contacts, use this example as a guide for promoting data stored in extension columns in the S_PRSP_CONTACT table to the S_CONTACT table.

To promote data stored in extension columns in the S_PRSP_CONTACT table to the S_CONTACT table

1. Add a new extension column called X_ACADEMIC_TITLE to S_PRSP_CONTACT.

2. Add a new extension column called X_ACADEMIC_TITLE to S_CONTACT.

3. Add a field called Academic Title to the List Management Prospective Contact business component.

4. Add user properties to the List Management Prospective Contact business component with the following values:

   • Name: Promotion Map:Contact.Academic Title

   • Value: Academic Title

5. Add a field called Academic Title to the Contact business component.

6. Add a field called Academic Title to the List Management Prospective Contact List applet and Contact List applet.

7. Add a field called Academic Title to the Promote To Contact or Promote To Contact (SIA) integration object.
