Configuring Driver Parameters to Support Microsoft OAuth 2.0

As of Siebel CRM 22.8 Update, support has been added for Microsoft OAuth 2.0. If you are using Microsoft Exchange Online, then you must enable Microsoft OAuth 2.0 as outlined here. To support Microsoft OAuth 2.0, several new parameters can be added to the Internet SMTP/IMAP Server driver and the Internet SMTP/POP3 Server driver.

Using Microsoft OAuth 2.0 requires the 64-bit JRE, which is described in Upgrading to 64-bit JRE Support, which entails setting additional driver parameters than those mentioned here.

To enable Microsoft OAuth 2.0, you must add all the parameters you require and configure them as follows:

  1. Set Enable Microsoft OAuth2 to TRUE.

  2. Set Microsoft OAuth2 URL to the URL for Microsoft OAuth 2.0.

  3. Set Microsoft OAuth2 Retry Count to the retry value you require.

  4. Set Microsoft OAuth2 Parameter Count to 4.

  5. Set Microsoft OAuth2 Parameter1 through Microsoft OAuth2 Parameter4.

  6. Set UserParameter Count. Do one of the following:

    • Set UserParameter Count to 3 (for Internet SMTP/IMAP Server driver).

    • Set UserParameter Count to 5 (for Internet SMTP/POP3 Server driver).

  7. Set the numbered UserParametern parameters. Do one of the following:

    • Set UserParameter1 through UserParameter3 (for Internet SMTP/IMAP Server driver).

    • Set UserParameter1 through UserParameter5 (for Internet SMTP/POP3 Server driver).

For more information about how to set these parameters and how they function, see Parameters for Internet SMTP/IMAP Server Driver and Internet SMTP/POP3 Server Driver.
