Answering, Navigating and Completing Questions

The Siebel CTMS mobile app supports the SmartScript player that can conditionally navigate a user through questions with SmartScript logic base upon how the Trip Report has been configured. Depending upon the answers selected, certain questions may be skipped or additional related questions may be presented to the user, based upon the logic configured.

Complete the following procedure to answer, navigate and complete questions for a site visit.

To answer, navigate and complete questions

1. Click on the Side Menu on the application banner, and then click on My Site Visits to display the following:

   • The My Site Visits list in the side pane.

   • The site visit details in the main pane.

2. Select a record in the My Site Visits list.

   All the site visit details for the selected record appear.

3. Answer Questions as follows:

   • Click on the down arrow next to Questions to view the tabular summary list of questions for the site visit selected. The following fields are shown in the table:

     • Question #, Page, Question, Answers, Last Updated, Multi Answer, Is Answered?, and Comments.

     • You can update comments in the tabular view by clicking on the Comments field to be updated and entering or updating comments in the field and clicking outside of the field to save.

   • Click on the Answer button to launch the SmartScript player.

     • All questions will appear in the side pane (Navigation Tree) with the focus set to the first question.

       • Answering a Question

         • Click to enter or update a response to the question.

         • Free text comments can be entered in the Comments field, if needed.

       • Navigation

         • You can navigate questions by tapping buttons for the next and previous question or by jumping to a question by tapping on a question in the Navigation Tree, if jumping is enabled.

       • Saving a response

         • Answers are auto-saved by the app when a user performs any of the following actions:

           • Navigating to the next question

           • Navigate to the previous question

           • Jump to another question in Navigation Tree

           • Click on the Finish button

             Note: Clicking only on the Cancel button will result in potential unsaved data changes be lost and user to be exited from the SmartScript player.

       • Validation on mandatory questions

         • For mandatory questions, a pop-up message will be presented if you do the following:

           • Navigate (next, previous, or jumping) away from a mandatory question that has not been answered.

           • Click on Finish to complete the trip report and exit the SmartScript Player.

       • Completing questions and exiting the SmartScript Player

         • A user can exit the Smartscipt player with the following choices:

           • Click on Finish to save and exit the SmartScript player.

             Finish will trigger validation to ensure that all mandatory fields have been completed across questions in the Site Visit before saving and exiting.

           • Click on Finish Later to save any unsaved changes and exit the SmartScript player.

             Finish Later will not trigger validation of mandatory questions.

           • Click on Cancel to exit the SmartScript player.

             Note: Any unsaved changes will be lost.
