Managing Room Block Line Items in a Quote Meeting Package

To manage room block line items for a quote meeting package, follow this procedure.

To manage a room block line item in a quote meeting package

1. Navigate to the Quotes screen, then the List view.

2. In the Quotes list, query for and select a quote with an associated meeting package.

3. In the Quote record, click the link in the Name field, and then click the Room Blocks view tab.

4. In the Room Blocks list, query for records with one of the following values:

   • Core check box is selected.

   • Package field value of IS NOT NULL.

5. Select a core room block record.

6. Scroll down to the Room Block Line Items list and select a record.

7. Complete or edit the fields as required.

   Some fields are described in the following table.

   Field	Comments
   Projected	The projected number of sleeping rooms needed for the function. This field is for forecasting only. In core items, modifying this field does not change or initiate any calculations.
   Blocked	The number of rooms blocked for the event. This field is for forecasting only. In core items, modifying this field does not change or initiate any calculations.
   Benchmark Price	Read only. The benchmark rate for each room type is defined as an item in the pricing matrix of the property.
   Single Price	Read only. The value in this field is calculated from the price adjustment in the meeting package administration record for this SR type.
   Discount Amount	Read only. If the Adjustment Type is Discount Amount or Markup Amount in the meeting package administration record, then this field displays a value.
   Discount %	Read only. If the Adjustment Type is Discount % or Markup % in the meeting package administration record, then this field displays a value.
   Adjusted Single Adjusted Double Adjusted Triple Adjusted Quad	Read only. The values of these fields are set from the values for each corresponding SR Type in the Quotes screen, Meeting Packages view. The meeting package values override the values set in Room Block Info.

8. If more core rooms are needed, do the following:

   1. Navigate to the Quote screen, Meeting Packages view.

   2. Enter additional attendance figures.

   3. Reapply the meeting package to the quote.
