Administering Communications Inbound Processor

The Communications Inbound Processor server component processes inbound work items, such as email messages, that Communications Inbound Receiver previously received and queued. The short name for this component is CommInboundProcessor.

Note: Communications Inbound Processor is used for nonreal-time event processing, but not for real-time event processing. For more information about real-time processing and nonreal-time processing, see Processing Incoming Email.
