Using DIV-Based Embedded Interviews for Siebel Mobile Application for Siebel Financial Services

This chapter includes information required for implementing DIV-based embedded interviews for the Siebel Mobile application for Siebel Financial Services. Support for DIV-based embedded interviews, which is new as of Siebel CRM 22.4 Update, provides a simpler integration framework than prior functionality to support Intelligent Advisor interviews for Siebel CRM applications users.

An example of a use case for embedded interviews for the Siebel Mobile application for Siebel Financial Services is where a customer of a financial institution wants help analyzing their financial needs (Needs Analysis scenario) and reviewing recommendations for financial products or services (Application Capture scenario). Configurable Siebel CRM workflow processes and sample seed data are provided that support the interview sessions for these two interrelated scenarios.

  • Needs Analysis scenario. In this scenario, the user logs in to a Web site for a financial institution and starts an interview session to analyze their financial needs.

  • Application Capture scenario. Depending on the results of the interview session in the first scenario, which are saved and returned to the user based on their input, this same user might subsequently start another interview session to review recommendations for financial products or services that might be suitable for them.

Note: This chapter describes integration mapping parameters, inbound Web services, sample repository objects, and workflow processes that are specific to the described sample use case for the Siebel Mobile application for Siebel Financial Services. Reverting to the Old Intelligent Advisor Integration Approach

As of Siebel CRM 22.4 Update, the new simpler embedded interview approach described in this chapter is enabled by default for Intelligent Advisor interviews. If you want to revert to the old integration approach for Intelligent Advisor interviews (which was introduced in Siebel CRM 15.5), you can do so by modifying business component properties as described in Reverting to the Old Intelligent Advisor Integration Approach. You can also switch back to the new method by reversing this process.
