Siebel EAI and Message Based Integration

The following image illustrates how Siebel EAI supports message based integration with an external application, where the Siebel application is the initiator of the request or the receiver.

Configurable and Upgradeable Integration. In this image, User Interface connects to Business Object (double-sided arrow). Business Object connects to Siebel Database and to Business Object (double-sided arrows). Business Object connects to Siebel Adapter (double-sided arrow). Siebel Adapter-Integration Object connects to Transport Adapters (HTTP, MQ Series, MSMQ, SAP IDOC, SAP BAPI and Others) by one-way arrow. Data Mapping Engine appears between Siebel Adapter and Transport Adapters. Transport Adapters connect to the following: External Application, Middleware, and Partner Application (double-sided arrows). Transport Adapters-Integration Object connects to Siebel Repository (double-sided arrow) and to Siebel Adapter (one-way arrow). Siebel Repository connects to Siebel Tools (double-sided arrow).
