SQL Tuning Advisor

SQL Tuning Advisor is SQL diagnostic software in the Oracle Database Tuning Pack.

Once the poor-performing SQLs are identified using AWR report or Enterprise Manager, you can submit one or more SQL statements as input to the advisor and receive advice or recommendations for how to tune the statements, along with a rationale and expected benefit.

Tuning recommendations include:

• Collection of object statistics
• Creation of indexes
• Rewriting SQL statements
• Creation of SQL profiles
• Creation of SQL plan baselines
