Viewing and Updating Room Block Negotiation Rates

Sales representatives and event managers can see the average rates by weekend, weekday, and so on. These users can give special discounts for sleeping rooms to customers who bringing in a great deal of function space revenue. Additionally, these users can change the default values for tax- and service charge-related options.

To view and update room block negotiation rates

1. Navigate to the Quotes screen, then the List view.

2. In the Quotes list, query for and select the quote.

3. In the Quote record, click the link in the Quote # field, and then click the Room Blocks view tab.

4. Scroll down and click the Negotiation Rates view tab.

5. Click Calculate Rates.

6. Update the negotiation rate fields if necessary.

   Some fields are described in the following table.

   Field	Comments
   Negotiation Rate	Validated field. Must be greater than or equal to the value in the Avg Floor field.
   Weekend Negotiation Rate	Validated field. Must be greater than the value in the Weekend Floor field.
