Search for a Customer

You can use unified search feature to navigate through the Customers in OIPA from a central location. Searches can be performed for Customers by one field or a combination of fields through Advanced search. If a customer name was assigned during creation, then the Customer Name field can be used to quickly locate the Customer.

Important: The Customer search results do not show Customers that are shadowed (deleted). The only way to view these Customers is through the database.

Steps to Quick Search for a Customer

  1. Select Customer option from the Search drop-down.

  2. Enter the search string in the text box. For example, the search string can be a "Customer number / Customer name" etc. If the exact wording is not known, use the % (percent) sign as a wild card. When more than one results are returned from the search, scroll down and click the Customer record to see the details.

Search using Advanced Option

  1. Select Customer option from the Search drop-down.

  2. Click Advanced Search Advanced Search icon and enter the search criteria for the Customer. The search results will display under the Customer search window.

  3. Click the <Customer Name> link. The Customer Overview tab opens.

  4. Click the Customer tab to view the customer details. When more than one results are returned from the search, scroll down and click the Customer record to see the details.
