- Identify the Link Name and remote peer from the event’s additional information; correlate it with link, linkset, RSP, and remote-processor indications.
- Check whether the remote peer/adjacent network declared an outage. Restore the affected remote/link path.
- Escalate with the remote operator if the remote condition is not planned.
- Verify that the remote/link/RSP status has returned to normal and those 70389 clears; retain the peer confirmation and transport evidence for an unplanned event.
