2 PCA Feature Activation Overview

This section lists the required materials and information required to activate the PCA feature. In addition, Table 2-1 through Table 3-3 provide estimates of the time required to perform the procedures. These tables can be used to estimate the total time required to complete the feature activation. The timing values shown are estimates only, use these tables to plan the timing of the activation, not to perform the procedure. The detailed procedure is described in Feature Activation.

Note:

If PCA is installed in the system that is being recovered, perform the following steps on all the active applications:

• Activate PCA on the standby NOAM using the recovered standby NOAM server.
• Activate PCA on the active SOAM using the recovered active SOAM server to reactivate PCA.
