1.2 Terminology

The following table provides information about the terminology used in this document.

Table 1-2 Terminology

Acronym	Meaning
OCLM	The VM based certificate lifecycle service described in this guide.
DSD/SDS	Customer deployment environment that integrates with OCLM for certificate lifecycle operations.
Operator CA	Certificate Authority used by OCLM for certificate issuance and renewal through CMP.
CMP	Certificate Management Protocol used between OCLM and Operator CA.
CMP identity	The OCLM client certificate and private key used to sign CMP requests to Operator CA.
NOAM	DSR/SDS Network Operations, Administration, and Maintenance node used for central management functions.
SOAM	DSR/SDS System Operations, Administration, and Maintenance node used for site-level management functions.
HA	High Availability. In this guide, HA refers to DSR/SDS using two active OCLM nodes configured independently.
