Setting Up Credit Card Integration

This section provides an overview of credit card integration.

PeopleSoft CRM provides two options for processing credit card payments in transactions:

  • Hosted payment: Users are transferred to the third-party hosted website (for example, Hosted Order Page by Cybersource) where they enter their credit card information for approval.

When finished, the user is transferred back to the CRM transaction. The third-party vendor returns information such as approval code and token ID that the CRM transaction needs to continue the rest of the checkout process. This option shifts the burden of hosting and processing credit card information from the PeopleSoft system to the third-party vendor.

  • Credit card encryption: Order Capture uses a third-party payment service for acceptance of credit cards as a payment type. Users enter credit card information in the PeopleSoft system (the information can be pre-populated from the customer profile if it is already on file) during checkout. Credit card information is encrypted, stored and maintained in the PeopleSoft system.
