Understanding Single Signon for Online Marketing

Many customers (particularly those using Workforce Communications) require the ability to launch an Online Marketing dialog from PIA and have that dialog be identified with the currently signed in PIA user. For example, a Learning Administrator develops a course evaluation survey dialog. After employees have finished their learning plans in CRM, they can launch and complete the survey dialog without the necessity of re-entering their identifying information (for example, name and email address) in the survey landing page because this information already exists in the CRM system.

In order for this process to function, the dialog must support Single Signon. Online Marketing dialogs will support Single Signon (SSO) if the Dialog External Event Trigger is invoked from the PeopleSoft CRM application.

SSO can be applied to both login required and non-login required dialogs.
