Field or Control

Definition

Transaction

Select the Transaction (message type) you want to process:

  • STUDENT_INITIATION (Student Initiation Event)

  • SAFI (Student Academic and Financial Information) Event

  • STUDNT_LOA (Leaves of Absence and Breaks in Attendance Event)

  • DISBURSEMENT_INFORMATION (Disbursement Information Event)

  • RETURN_LENDER (Return to Lender Event)

Query Name

For outbound Transactions (STUDENT_INITIATION, SAFI, STUDNT_LOA), select a query using the SCC_SFP_OUT_BND BIND Record to select the students for which you want to process Transactions. There are two delivered queries:

  • QA_CS_CC_SFP_STUDENTINITIATION

  • QA_CS_CC_SFP_SAFI

Two Application Engines are used by this process:

  • SCC_VOC_INTF – Used to push CS data to SFP using the STUDENT_INITIATION, SAFI, and STUDNT_LOA messages.

  • SFP Message Pull – Used to pull disbursements and Return to Title IV transactions from SFP using the DISBURSEMENT_INFORMATION and RETURN_LENDER messages. This Application Engine creates a Student Financial Group Data Entry. SFP Fund Codes are mapped to SF Item Types. See Mapping Financial Transactions between CS Student Financials and Student Financial Planning.

Note: Disbursements for a student must be posted prior to processing the return to lender transactions.  The return to lender process will not create the Group Control and Group line entries if the disbursement is not found on the PAYMENT_TBL.
