11 Oracle VM Instance

This chapter describes the metrics associated with the Oracle VM Instance target. Oracle VM Instances are guest virtual machines managed by the hypervisor domain.

11.1 Basic Configuration Details

This metric category provides information about the basic configuration of an Oracle VM Instance target.

These are configuration metrics and cannot be viewed from the All Metrics page in the Cloud Control UI.

11.1.1 Allocated CPU

This metric displays the number of allocated virtual CPUs to the guest virtual machine.

This metric displays the amount of memory allocated to the guest virtual machine in MB.

This metric category provides information about the Oracle VM Instance's virtual block device statistics.

This metric displays the disk name.

This metric category provides a summary of the Oracle VM Instance's virtual block device statistics.

11.3.1 Highest Read throughput (KB per second)

This metric displays the highest write throughput since the last metric collection among all disks.

11.4 Load

This metric category provides information about the load metrics of an Oracle VM Instance target.

11.4.1 CPU utilization of the virtual machine (%)

This metric displays the CPU usage in percentage as see by the Guest OS running in the virtual machine.

This metric displays the name of the network interface.

This metric displays the total number of read data from the virtual network interface card (VNIC) in KB since startup.
