Defining Styles for Data Sets

You can define styles for data sets in charts. You can define a pattern and color for each data set in your report. The specified shading and patterns are applied to each respective data set to differentiate values in the chart.

To define styles for a data set:

Open a report and select a chart.
On the Chart Properties property sheet, click the Format Chart button.
Select the Element Style tab.
Select a data set.
Select a fill pattern for the selected data set.
From the Color 1 and Color 2 drop-down list boxes, select two colors for contrasting the pattern.
Note:
To toggle between the two different colors selected, click the Toggle Color icon.
Select a line style, line marker style, marker size, and line width to apply to the data set.
Click OK.
