Assigning XBRL Context

You can set XBRL Context on columns, cells in a column, and text objects.

Note:

XBRL Context in a text object is used to define an XBRL Fact. An XBRL fact includes a line item and XBRL Context.

  To set XBRL Context:

  1. Open a report for which you want to create an XBRL instance document.

  2. Select a column, cells in a column or text object.

    Note:

When you create a cell-based context, you must select cells within one column only.

  3. Select XBRL Context located on the property sheet.

  4. Select an XBRL Context from the drop-down list; to create a new XBRL Context, click Search icon.

    Note:

The XBRL context you assigned to a column may not be true for all cells in that column. If this is the case, you can modify the context of individual cells. For example, if the context for a column is labeled as January, but a number of those cells are for a different month, you can change the setting of those cells. Use the above procedures to modify specific cells in a column.
