Encoding Passwords

Your passwords are encoded when you export the batch input file. To specify another user ID or data source ID in the batch input file, then you can use the following file to produce an encoded password for use in the batch input file.

Windows—EncodePassword.cmd
UNIX—EncodePassword
Note:
This procedure is optional.

To encode passwords:

Open the batch input file to modify the data source and user ID passwords.
From the command line, run the EncodePassword.cmd file.
Type EncodePassword Password, where Password is the new password you want to use.
Place the encoded password produced in the batch input file.
