How do I upload or download files?

Uploading files

  1. Go to the location, either a folder or a conversation, where you want the file or photo.

  2. Tap the add icon.

  3. Tap Upload Media or Files.

  4. Choose what you want to upload:

    • Tap the camera icon to upload a photo or take a new photo and upload it.

    • Tap the microphone icon to record a voice message and upload it.

    • Tap the file load icon to select a file from another location, such as Google Drive or from another Oracle Documents account.

  5. Select the item you want to upload. You can upload multiple items at one time if needed.

  6. Edit the name of the item if needed, and enter an optional description.

  7. Tap Add or Post when done.

You can add photos from your photo gallery to Oracle Documents. Open your gallery and select the photos you want to add. Tap the Upload icon and choose Oracle Documents as your location. Find the account and folder you want to use and tap Select and then tap Upload.

If you're a member of a shared folder, you may not be able to add files to the shared folder. It depends on the role you were assigned when you were added to the folder. If you can't perform an action, the action isn't available.

You can upload files from one Oracle Documents account to another. For example, perhaps you have two Oracle Documents accounts, User A and User B. If you sign in as User A, select the Upload File option. Select Oracle Documents as the location you want to choose from and select your User B account. Find the file you want to upload and select a location in your User A account to store it.

Downloading files

  1. Find the file and open it to view it.

  2. Tap the download icon.

Downloaded files are encrypted and stored in the Offline area on your device. To see a list of downloaded files, open the dropdown menu next to the Document header on the home page. Tap Offline.

After a file is in your Offline area, you'll be able to use it even if you're not connected to the cloud. If you're traveling, for example, and have to set your device to Airplane Mode, you can still view or edit a file that's stored in the Offline area.
