El archivo controlador es una página HTML pequeña que inicia de forma dinámica la secuencia de representación para el resto de la página. Es el primer lugar en el que se pueden aplicar esas personalizaciones para afectar al comportamiento de cada página de un sitio.
La tarea principal del archivo controlador consiste en proporcionar y alojar un entorno de ejecución para el JavaScript del controlador. El JavaScript del controlador carga y muestra posteriormente la página. Las personalizaciones del archivo controlador permiten sustituir e influir en el funcionamiento del JavaScript del controlador.
Cuando se crea por primera vez un sitio de Oracle Content Management, se asocia un archivo controlador por defecto, controller.html, al sitio.
