Contact field tracking maximum limits
You can use a listener step in your Oracle Eloqua contact program to listen for changes to a contact field. You can enable up to 10 contact fields that can be subscribed to from a program capped at 1 million contacts updated per day (for the entire instance) using field tracking. This topic describes how contacts are updated based on whether or not the maximum limit is exceeded.
If contacts updated exceeds the daily limit
If the daily limit of contacts updated is exceeded, then any other contact updates will be ignored.
Example: A program is tracking the Country field and the City field. In the morning, the Country value is updated for 1 million contacts. These contacts are all picked up and added to the program canvas. In the afternoon, the City field is updated for 1 million contacts. Since you're already over the 1 million daily contact limit, these contacts for the City field are ignored and not added to the program canvas.
If the contacts updated does not exceed the daily limit
If the daily limit of contacts updated is not exceeded, then all contacts for any field updated is picked up and added to the program canvas.
Example: A program is tracking the Country field and the City field. Both fields are updated at the same time for 1 million contacts. Since this is within the 1 million daily contact limit, these contacts are all picked up and added to the program.
