Configuring Oracle Eloqua as a service provider

After you created the identity provider in Oracle Eloqua, you must configure Oracle Eloqua as a service provider. This ensures that the identity provider knows that Oracle Eloqua is a trusted service provider and that it has the necessary information to login Oracle Eloqua users.

The process to set up service providers varies depending on your identity provider. If your identity provider supports it, you can download Oracle Eloqua's service provider metadata to use for the configuration. Otherwise, you must manually gather the required information from Oracle Eloqua.

Before you begin:

  • Research your identity provider and understand how to setup a new service provider. Determine whether you can use the Oracle Eloqua SAML metadata download to assist with the configuration.
  • Oracle Eloqua always signs authorization requests. To support a service provider initiated login, you must upload Oracle Eloqua's certificate to your identity provider. This certificate is also provided with Oracle Eloqua's SAML metadata.
  • You will need to gather the following information from the Oracle Eloqua identity provider screen:
    • Oracle Eloqua's assertion consumer service (ACS) URL.
    • Oracle Eloqua's entity ID that is unique for your instance.
    • If you plan to allow Oracle Eloqua to initiate logins, you must download Oracle Eloqua's certificate.

To gather Oracle Eloqua’s service provider information:

  1. Click Settings An image of the Settings menu icon, which is represented by a black cog..
