This allows you to obtain notification and category statistics in real time, which could be used for analytics purposes, or for modifying your back end push environment to increase user engagement.
For example, you may want to push to your users based on notifications with historically successful results. Or, perhaps you want to re-evaluate your category-based pushes from changes in user preferences over time.
To access these statistics from the Web Dashboard, once logged in, simply add
/categories.json to the end of your application specific URL (from your browser) and submit. For instance:
These statistics can also be retrieved on a platform by platform basis, by replacing the
APP_ID target with that of a specific platform.
Tip: You can provide offset and limit parameters to get up to 500 notifications at a time and on multiple pages. For instance,
https://manage.pushio.com/apps/[APP_ID]/notifications.json?limit=20 limits the number of notifications displayed to 20.
These data sets can also be accessed via API, through these targets:

For these commands, you would use an HTTP GET request, as you are retrieving the information instead of sending it.
NOTE Similar to the Web Dashboard method, you can also get platform specific categories by replacing the APP_ID in the above command with the API_KEY that was generated specific to your platform.
