Books are created, edited, and saved in Planning and Budgeting Cloud Workspace. You must have Planning Service Administrator or Planning Power User roles to create a book.
A book can include:
Financial Reporting documents
Dynamic reports
Snapshot reports
Heading text
URL links
URLs can be copied from a browser, or Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition and Oracle Universal Content Management servers.
Third-party documents
Microsoft Word, including:
Embedded Financial Reporting reports using the FRExecute function. See FRExecute for information.
Smart View queries
Microsoft Excel
Microsoft PowerPoint
PDF files
HTML files
Text (.txt) documents
Third-party documents are listed in the table of contents and are launched like Financial Reporting documents. They are also included in a PDF file when opening a book with “Complete Book in PDF.”
