About Creating Books

Books are created, edited, and saved in Planning and Budgeting Cloud Workspace. You must have Planning Service Administrator or Planning Power User roles to create a book.

A book can include:

  • Financial Reporting documents

  • Dynamic reports

  • Snapshot reports

  • Heading text

  • URL links

    URLs can be copied from a browser, or Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition and Oracle Universal Content Management servers.

  • Third-party documents

    • Microsoft Word, including:

      • Embedded Financial Reporting reports using the FRExecute function. See FRExecute for information.

      • Smart View queries

    • Microsoft Excel

    • Microsoft PowerPoint

    • PDF files

    • HTML files

    • Text (.txt) documents

    Third-party documents are listed in the table of contents and are launched like Financial Reporting documents. They are also included in a PDF file when opening a book with “Complete Book in PDF.
