Find answers to common questions you have about managing customers in Oracle Monetization Cloud.

How do I update a customer's credit card?

In Subscriber Management, open the account and select Actions, Financial Setup, and then Payment Method.

You can change only the expiration date. If you need to change something else, you must add a new payment method. See Adding payment methods.

How do I find a charge that a customer says is wrong?

In Subscriber Management, select the bill that's in dispute, and then display the charge. See Displaying event information.

How do I close a customer's account on a future date?

You can change the status of an account in advance. In Subscriber Management, open the account and select Actions, Account, and then Account Status. You can then defer the action to a future date and manage the deferred action with a job in Business Operations. See Changing account status and Running deferred actions jobs.

How do I delete an account?

You can't delete accounts. You can rename accounts to make them easier to identify in searches, or you can update the account's status to closed to terminate its services.

Can I temporarily inactivate a customer's services?

Yes. You can temporarily inactivate all of the customer's services by setting the account status to inactive. See Changing account status.

You can temporarily inactivate an individual service, charge offer, or discount offer by opening the customer's account, selecting Assets, and then selecting the action menu for the asset you want to inactivate. See Managing customer assets.

You reactivate the services in the same way.

How do I permanently terminate a customer's services?

You can permanently terminate all services for a customer's account by setting the account status to closed. See Changing account status

You can permanently terminate an individual service, charge offer, or discount offer by opening the customer's account, selecting Assets, and then selecting the action menu for the asset you want to terminate. See Managing customer assets

Can I assign a rank to a customer based on importance?

Yes. When you create an account, you can assign it a rank, such as Platinum, Gold, Silver, or Bronze. You can change the rank at any time. The customer's account type is displayed in Subscriber Management.
