Using the Data Selection Tool involves the following steps:
Logging into the Data Selection Tool and the source database.

The Product Catalog and Equipment Spec modules are contained within one executable, and the Provisioning Plan module is contained within a separate executable.Identifying the target database.
Selecting the records to migrate.
Migrating the records.
Validating correct migration.
WARNING:
Oracle recommends that you use the Data Selection Tool with a test database/UAT database as the target database. This ensures that you get the results that you want.
