ocrconfig -delete

Use the ocrconfig -delete command to remove an OCR device or file.

Syntax

ocrconfig -delete file_name

Usage Notes

  • You must run this command as root.

  • The file_name variable can be a file name or the name of an Oracle ASM disk group. For example:

    • /oradbocfs/crs/data.ocr

    • d:\oracle\mirror.ocr

    • +olddg

If you specify an Oracle ASM disk group, then the name of the disk group must be preceded by a plus sign (+).

  • The only configured Oracle ASM OCR location, which is on a different Oracle ASM disk group than the Oracle ASM OCR backup location, cannot be removed.

Example

To remove an OCR location:

# ocrconfig -delete +olddg
