Updating a Tag Key Definition

Update the description and tag value type of a tag key definition. You can also enable or disable the cost-tracking.

1. On the Tag namespaces list page, select the namespace that you want to work with. If you need help finding the list page, see Listing Tag Namespaces.
2. On the Tag namespace details page, in the Tag key definitions section, select the tag key definition you want to update.
3. On the Tag definition details page, select Edit tag definition.
4. In the Edit tag key definition panel, update the following information:
  
  The description. Avoid entering confidential information.
  
  Enable or disable cost-tracking. (You can use up to 10 cost-tracking tags in a tenancy.)
  
  The tag value type.
5. Select Update.
Use the update command and required parameters to update the specified tag:
oci iam tag update [OPTIONS]
