Editing a Rate Limiting Rule for a Web Application Firewall Policy

Update a rate limiting rule for a web application firewall policy.

Using the Console

Open the navigation menu and click Identity & Security. Under Web Application Firewall, click Policies.

Alternatively, open the Web Application Firewall page and click Policies under Resources.

The WAF Policies page appears.
Select the Compartment from the list.

All the WAF policies in that compartment are listed in tabular form.
(Optional) Apply one or more of the following Filters to limit the WAF policies displayed:
- State
- Name
- Policy Type: Select WAF Policy.
Select the WAF policy whose rate limiting rule you want to edit.
The WAF Policy Details dialog box appears.
Click Rate Limiting under Resources.
The Rate Limiting list appears.
Click Manage Rate Limiting.

The Manage Rate Limiting dialog box appears.
Click Edit next to the rate limiting rule you want to edit.

The Edit Rate Limiting Rule dialog box appears.
Edit the rate limiting rule settings. See Adding a Rate Limiting Rule to a Web Application Firewall Policy for descriptions of each setting.
Click Save Changes.

The Edit Rate Limiting Rules dialog box closes.
Click Save Changes in the Manage Rate Limiting dialog box.

The updates you made are present in the details of the rate limiting rule.
