Verifing and Accessing Apache Ranger

  1. Login to Apache Ambari.
  2. From the side toolbar, under Services click Ranger.
  3. From the Actions menu, click Run Service Check.
  4. From the Quick Links section, click Ranger Admin UI. If this doesn't work, you may need to update the IP address in etc/hosts. Alternatively, you can access the Ranger Admin UI using the following URL. To login, use admin as the username and password you provided in step 6 of installation of Apache Ranger using Apache Ambari.

    URL for Big Data Service clusters with Version 3.0.4 and above:

    https://<un0-host-ip>:6182

    URL for Big Data Service clusters with Version 3.0.3 and below:

    http://<un0-host-ip>:6080

    The Big Data Service Version is displayed on the Cluster Information tab of the cluster details page.
